FLAT A PORTER

PACKAGING

PACKAGING

The packaging can sometimes be very effective on the marketing of a product. Here are some examples that we like.

The first packaging shown on the picture, is made by the biggest production bread company in Denmark, Kohberg which is the official sponsor of the Denmark Cancer breast society. Part of the money collected on the sale of this packaging, will be donated to fight against breast cancer. We find very clever, how they did manage to represent “2 breast” through a bread packaging.

The second picture is an idea of R.J. Reynolds, quite effective, isn’t it?

Pearlfisher has refreshed the packaging for Help Remedies – the New York City-based boutique pharma company and creator of minimalist medicine – as part of Help’s national Take Less campaign.

The next picture shows Dominic’s Wilcox idea, a very useful toothpaste.

Last image shows an economic and affordable packaging by Homer Mendoza it allows us to carry more than one recipient, without being worried about pouring the liquid inside.

Decorex London Fair

Decorex London Fair

Some weeks ago we were invited by Sophie Salaman, editor of the “the World of Interiors” magazine to Decorex International, the UK’s most prestigious design and interiors exhibition fair  in London.

We have selected images of some furniture, papers, fabrics, objects… that we liked.

We are unconditional fans of the beds from the company “and so to bed”, they were even offering ice-creams at their stand. Our friend Sophie, was their regular customer during the fair ;-)

We liked “Andrew Martin’s” stand, specially the living room space that they created. We will buy the wooden paper shown on the picture as soon as we find a space.

Sheila Coombes showed us some colourful fabrics, they are soooo cheerful, we would have taken all home! We found particularly unique “the games room” company where they provide all kinds of games/vintages machines with a very unique style. Hope you like our selection.

TREE HOUSE

TREE HOUSE

Haven’t you ever dreamt when you were a child to have a house on a tree? We recognize that even now as adults we still would love to have a house on a tree.

It seems to us that just for being up there, you are apart from the whole world and protected by something magical.

This treehouse is located on the premises of Camp Wandawega, Wisconsin and is owned by Tereasa Surratt and David Hernandez, the creators of Camp Wandawega.

They built it themselves together with the help of their children. We like that every element used to create and decorate the treehouse is vintage or DYI – vintage windows, pillows made from flour sacks…

For a peace mind retreat, the house is available for vacation rentals. We wish we could go!

Debra Cronin Home

Debra Cronin Home

We love Debra Cronin interior designer work. We have chosen her house in Sidney to show you some of her interiors.

She wanted to find a Victorian house to restore it in order to become her home as well as her bussines, and she did it!

She uses her home as a showcase for her eclectic decorating skills, and to rent it out for photo shoots and events.

We like the fusion of her styles and her eclectic signature

If you like Debra’s home, We recommend you to visit her website.

Poetry Recital by JOHANNA ZULETA, 2nd August Bolivar Hall, London

Poetry Recital by JOHANNA ZULETA, 2nd August Bolivar Hall, London

“Johanna Zuleta’s enchanting performance magics us into another era. An ancient time when poetry was most itself aloud, and not alone: a collective yet deeply personal experience. Dressed like a dream, she dances the lines in a way that restores the lost link between body and word, sound and thought. In this passionate, sometimes polemical, always artfully constructed journey through Latin American, Spanish and other works, poems you thought you knew come alive, and new discoveries are branded on your mind’s eye and ear. Infecting us with a tumultuous but delicate aesthetic-emotional  sensibility, Zuleta’s recitation bequeaths a deeper understanding of her poems – and of the ideal meaning of poetry itself.” – Lorna Scott Fox.
